Stand-Up Comedy – Level 2

Do you have a 5 minute set you want to improve? Then this is class for you.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve been gigging regularly, or are fresh off the Beginner’s class – this 4 class workshop will give you the chance to perform your comedy and receive valuable feedback from expert teacher Caroline Clifford and the rest of your classmates. If you completed the Beginner’s Class, this workshop will be similar to the last 2 classes of rehearsal and feedback, but the feedback will be much more intense! There will be a class show at the end so your friends and family can see the masterpieces you have been working on!

What makes these classes so great is you get to have real feedback from real people. The goal of being a comedian is to make as many people in the room laugh as loudly and deeply as possible. It is *invaluable* to have real feedback on the little turn-offs that can prevent someone from laughing their fullest at your joke. And sure, you can take that feedback or ignore it but you can’t deny that it’s worthy.

It’s also extremely useful to hear other peoples comedy and give feedback to them. Hearing what works and doesn’t work with other people’s material is a great guide to the kind of comedy you resonate with and what you’d like to focus more (or less) on.

You can come to this class with any 5 minutes of material that you want intense feedback on. You can work on the same bit throughout the 4 weeks, or bring new bits each time – it’s up to you.
