You can’t teach funny - but I do believe you can inform people what isn’t funny. By freeing yourself of cliches, common pitfalls and just… crapness - you can have a much more productive start to your stand-up career. This course will be performance focused, so get ready for plenty of stage-time!
With this class you'll learn to discover the "authentic you" and potentially have a life-changing experience and make a whole group of brand new friends who will become your allies on the wild ride that is the Berlin comedy circuit. One of the most valuable aspects of this class is that you will become a part for an extremely friendly community of alumni who all have each others backs.
As an experienced stand-up myself (12+years) and the producer of a long-running open-mic, I often see new comics take to the stage and make the same mistakes over and over. I just think to myself "This person might be funny... in a year". With this course I aim to leap-frog you over that initial hump so you can take to the open mic scene with a really decent 5-7, which you'll perform to a full friendly house a our student show!
This course is getting very popular and already fills up early from word of mou
My course is heavily influenced by the teaching style of my mentor and friend Logan Murray , author of "Be a great stand-up" and "Get started in stand-up comedy". He once said about me "One of the best comics to come along in a long time". Aww.
Make new friends, get out of your comfort zone and have a life-changing experience!
